At TOP Conservation, our mission is to make conservation an accessible and engaging endeavour for people from all walks of life. We offer a spectrum of talks, both formal and informal, adaptable to an array of audiences and organizations and cover a multitude of topics such as Animal Behaviour, British Wildlife and Conservation, the role of Zoos and Wildlife Sanctuaries, Career Guidance in this noble field, and an exploration of the most Weird and Wonderful Wildlife on our planet.

My name is Becky, founding partner of TOP Conservation and lover of all things wild (especially the carnivorous types). I have had a career with animals and wildlife for close to 10 years now including zookeeping, pet sitting and educating.
I completed my bachelor degree in Animal Behaviour and Wildlife Conservation in 2016, starting my zookeeping career in the summer of that same year. My special interest is small carnivores such as Foxes, small cat species and the more unusual suspects like Fossa and Marten. I have had the privilege to work hands on with a wide range of strange but amazing animals but now wish to educate others about them and aid anyone wanting to get into the field.
With my current role as an educational ranger I have been able to reach more people with the message that the small creatures are just as interesting and charismatic…in fact even more so, as well as still being actively involved with a range of animals day to day.
TOP Conservation is the culmination of hard work and passion for the wildlife field, a field in which myself and Alex are keen to help anyone crack and educate everyone about the topic we love so much.
Hi I’m Alex, founding partner of TOP Conservation, I am passionate about all animals (especially wasps and parasites!). I have been a wildlife ranger for the past 10 years with small stints in zookeeping throughout that time.
I finished my degree in Wildlife Biology in 2011 and then spent the next 3 years volunteering in bird reserves and increasing my skills and experience with wildlife.
In 2013/14 I moved to Africa where I studied to be a Ranger and got a job in a lodge in Namibia where I worked for just over a year showing people all the amazing diversity of wildlife that Africa holds.
I have a particular passion for teaching people about the amazing wildlife in our natural world and helping aspiring Biologists achieve their dream career in whatever field they wish to enter.
I am excited to see the hard work and dedication myself and Becky have put in to TOP Conservation help the next generation of animal lovers.
